The Town House exterior

Our Concept

A different kind of stay.

Not quite a hotel, not quite an apartment rental — something in between, designed for guests who'd rather have space and freedom than a buffet and a bell-hop.

The Building

Victorian on the outside, considered on the inside.

The Town House occupies a Victorian terrace on Loch Promenade — one of the grand seafront houses that face Douglas Bay. We've kept the building's character where it matters and rethought the inside to suit the way people actually want to stay today.

The result is fifteen apartments — each individually furnished, fully self-contained, and far larger than a standard hotel room. Most are 400–550 sq ft. The largest is over 1,000.

The Idea

Hotel rooms on the Isle of Man average 240 sq ft. Ours average 500.

Most hotel rooms are designed around a bed. Ours are designed around a stay. That means a kitchen you can actually cook in, a sitting area separate from the bedroom, a dining table you can work at, and the kind of storage that makes a fortnight as easy as a night.

Whether you're here on business, with the family, or because you've finally found a week to come back to the island — you shouldn't have to live out of a suitcase.
